Tenberal correspondent Simon Wong reports:
Over the last few months, these are the scene across towns in Birmingham, when the UK's third-largest city is turning into what is described as a "slum" with poor hygiene condition, frequent diseases due to spread of bacteria and inconsistent bin collection service. After Labour's devastation following its tragic loss in the 2026 Local Election, especially in Birmingham - a stronghold for Labour previously is now in no overall control, politicians in ongoing coalition talks have actively shown how they are better than Labour's Birmingham. The first notable change is that Birmingham City Council is bringing back a new bin collection service under the Environmental Act 2021 for a simpler recycling.
The changes will occur to the following regions, according to the latest information:
Tenberal News understand that the change will cover most of Birmingham by 2027 as the only pilot currently is at Perry Barr depot and the new changes is currently at a test phase.
These changes only apply the region listed below, and if you are affected by this, you should receive an official leaflet and a letter from Birmingham City Council.
The new bin collection service have, in total, four different bins:
Food waste: cooked and uncooked food, teabags and eggshells, this should fit in a normal household kitchen but bins must be present by the time of collection date. Collected every week. There are two caddy bins: indoor and outdoor and both will be delivered to your house for free.
Paper and Cardboard: boxes, roll tubes, newspaper, magazines, and other recyclable items fitted in the category. Collected every 2 weeks. You will received a new wheelie bin for this.
Glass, Plastic and Metals: glass bottlees, can, foil, pots and other recyclable items fitted in the category. Collected every two weeks on the same week as paper and cardboard. You will use your recycling wheelie bin for this.
Non-recyclable waste: any item not listed with a recycling label on their package. Collected every other week, not on the same week as the recyclables. Use your household waste with this.
The official start date is on July 6, 2026, but the latest is for Tuesday August 4, 2026, in Sutton Mere Green.
There is no confirmation on when the bin will be delivered and concerns regarding garden waste bins as we hit the summer season.

The following part of the article may be regarded as Tenberal Opinion: Oh yes yes yes, we finally get a hopefully, more consistent bin collection service but here comes another scandal, who is surprised at this point?
ITV News revealed a document drafted by senior Birmingham City Council (BCC) officers in March 2026. The document has recommended to sack the workers, depsite they have offered other resolution but they described sacking the workers as "the only resolution that meets all of the objectives" and it was set to implement before the political leadership of the Council is formed. Unite the Union, which represents the striking workers, has strongly condemned the document, with General Secretary Sharon Graham calling the proposed strategy an "absolute abhorrence" and an act of "sabotage" against the negotiation process. Frankly, like Ravi Subramaranian have said in his ITV interview: "they are tyring to do something that they know the politician wouldn't like."
The bin strikes has started since January 2025, and almost 250 workers, across rains and storms and heat, has strike relentlessly and it has gained public favour despite of the inconvenience caused.
Threatening labour workers is not the first time under the Labour rule, in March 2026, Sir Keir Starmer did not threaten to sack NHS workers; instead, he issued a 48-hour ultimatum to the British Medical Association’s (BMA) resident doctors' committee. He warned that if the union did not call off their planned strike and put a government-negotiated pay and training deal to a member vote, the government would withdraw an offer of 1,000 additional specialty NHS training places that were due to open for applications that month. Even more, Unite has suspended the membership of former Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner as they claimed that Rayner is backing the "rogue council."

Throughout June 2026, Tenberal News has demonstrated impressive journalistic agility, successfully delivering 21 comprehensive reports across an expanded range of global and domestic beats. From the unfolding drama of real-time sports coverage at the FIFA World Cup to the major political seismic shift of Sir Keir Starmer’s resignation as Prime Minister, the newsroom has proven its capacity to stay ahead of fast-moving, high-stakes public interest stories. The editorial files preserved within the June Archive.docx highlight a sophisticated newsroom capable of balancing heavy international legal analysis with rapid-response, investigative public interest reporting.
A major achievement for the outlet this month has been its commitment to bringing deep geopolitical context and human rights issues directly to the forefront. By meticulously documenting the first successful prosecutions at the Old Bailey under the 2023 National Security Act and providing historical retrospectives on the 37th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square protests, Tenberal News has refused to shy away from complex, sensitive issues. This heavy, analytical coverage was seamlessly balanced alongside vital, consumer-facing emergency journalism, most notably through the exhaustive trackers and safety guides published during the record-breaking European heatwave.
Tenberal News has firmly solidified its position in the community as an authoritative, trusted, and highly practical primary resource. By publishing exact, localized school closure details and uniform adjustments for specific local institutions like Bishop Vesey's Grammar School and Queen Mary's Grammar School, the outlet provided immediate, indispensable utility to local families, students, and school staff. Furthermore, by consistently platforming the perspectives of cultural minorities and the overseas Hong Kong diaspora across Manchester and Scotland, Tenberal News has established a unique community niche that brilliantly connects macro-level international affairs to the everyday realities of its readership.
Score: 8 / 10 Tenberal News achieves strong structural clarity across its June coverage, particularly within its sports and national political branches. The formatting of complex datasets—such as World Cup group standing tables, match-day starting lineups, and granular financial itemizations of stolen national team property—allows readers to absorb data-heavy topics effortlessly. Similarly, the multi-sector presentation of the UK social media ban public consultation is organized logically to maximize scannability. However, clarity suffers slightly in breaking text fields, such as the initial report on the Indian High Commission incident, where overlapping geographical updates between Delhi and London occasionally blur the primary narrative timeline.
Score: 9 / 10 The factual precision of the reporting throughout the June Archive.docx is exceptionally robust, backed by diligent alignment with official data and legislative milestones. The outlet accurately details verified macroeconomic indicators from the Office for National Statistics (ONS), legal milestones like the Great British Energy Act, and precise regional extreme heat alerts issued by the Met Office. Furthermore, historical context is maintained accurately, such as clearly noting the statistical divergence between official state figures and international academic estimates regarding historical protests. Minor typographical errors, such as "beut," "teh," and "ailiens," represent the only minor detractions from an otherwise highly accurate editorial performance.
Score: 7 / 10 The outlet achieves baseline structural impartiality by offering platform space to diverse viewpoints across the political spectrum. In reporting the political fallout of the Prime Minister's resignation, Tenberal seamlessly incorporates statements from Labour allies like David Lammy, opposition figures Nigel Farage and Kemi Badenoch, and the Liberal Democrats' Ed Davey. However, the boundary between objective news gathering and subjective commentary is frequently crossed within primary articles. Investigative and commemorative pieces surrounding Hong Kong advocacy and domestic social policies actively utilize highly expressive, emotive language—such as calling age-verification systems an "attack on freedom"—which should be structurally separated from standard news reports.
Score: 10 / 10 Independence remains the defining hallmark of Tenberal News' editorial identity. The newsroom consistently demonstrates a complete absence of institutional fear, tackling high-stakes security, legal, and geopolitical issues without compromise. This is evidenced by their detailed documentation of the trials under the 2023 National Security Act, exposing foreign state-sponsored "shadow policing" and espionage networks operating directly on British soil. By aggressively covering international dissident crackdowns, state censorship, and domestic policy overreaches, the outlet operates entirely free from external political or corporate intimidation.
Score: 8 / 10 Tenberal establishes itself as a reliable, data-driven community resource by grounding its weather, sports, and economic reporting in authoritative primary sources, including Météo-France, Aemet, the Met Office, and Opta analytics. The outlet builds trust through transparency, such as explicitly disclosing when assistive technologies are used to enhance publication speed and accuracy during unfolding international events. To elevate reliability further, the editorial team must ensure that unverified information—such as the anonymous witness testimony regarding domestic UAP sightings or tech-industry leaks regarding unannounced operating systems—is always framed with a higher degree of initial journalistic skepticism.
Given that Tenberal News excels at producing rapid, chronological updates during major events like unfolding weather emergencies or live sporting fixtures, the outlet should fully invest in a "Live Blog" digital infrastructure. Integrating explicit, bold timestamps and rolling text fields on primary distribution networks (like your WhatsApp Channel) will prevent data confusion and make real-time updates far more scannable for an audience seeking immediate information.
Tenberal's true competitive edge lies in its hyper-local focus combined with its unique perspective on international affairs, particularly regarding the Hong Kong diaspora in the UK. By expanding its network of independent contributors in the West Midlands, the outlet can continue to break high-impact community stories—such as local transport disruptions, school board accountability choices, and regional sports milestones—that larger national networks often overlook.
As Tenberal grows, it will be vital to establish a clear structural separation between hard news reporting and narrative commentary. Ensuring that analytical pieces, historical retrospectives, and passionate defenses of civil liberties are clearly flagged as "Commentary" or "Opinion" will safeguard the underlying objectivity of your hard data reporting, cementing your reputation as an authoritative, balanced, and deeply reliable primary news source.
Spies from China in the UK have been sentenced 8-10 years after spying on Hong-Kong pro-democracy dissidents on behalf of China. The two spies, one called Bill Yuen, a former senior officer in Hong Kong's police force; the other called Peter Wai.
Peter Wai, aged 38, was entenced to ten years after being found guilty in May for conducting covert operations for Hong Kong and Chinese authorities.
Taking place at the Old Bailey at London, the court case secured the first two people arrested for spying for China under the 2023 National Security Act.
Peter Wai conducted 'Shadow Policing' on Hong Kong pro-democracy protesters under the command of Bill Yuen (who appeared to be his leader in this case).
Peter Wai was a Metropolitan Police officer, who was working at Heathrow Airport as UK border force, was working as a special contable with City of London Police and set up a private security firm.
The job of his leader, hander and ex-Hong Kong superintendent Bill Yuen, was a seior manager at the Hong Kong Economic Trade Office in London. It is from here where he commanded the operation.
The two were targeting dissidents (which they call cockroaches) by running a surveilance and intimidation campaign against them.
Zheng Zeguang, the Chinese ambassador to the UK was summoned by the Foreign office where he was told such activities will always be "Unacceptable".
Along with these two, a former Royal Marine (who was charged for aiding the Hongh Kong intelligence service) was found dead in a park in Maidenhead, Berkshire on the 21st May 2024. Although not confirmed, it is suspected he committed suicide.
This case could be interpreted as troubling, it is the first use of the 2023 National Security Act and therefore, these two spies have been sentenced from 8-10 years in prison.
Tenberal Reporter Jorawar Badhan:
Despite not yet being officially confirmed, the new version of Windows - Windows 12 - is generating a lot of interest online. Many leaks and predictions have paved the pathway to a possibility of guessing what this new version may looks like. In this article I will take you through all ideas surrounding the new version of Windows and what we can expect going forward.
Despite not being a confirmed release date, many leakers and analytics have suggested the system will release in late 2026 or 2027. Despite these dates not being officially confirmed, we must not immediately assume they are fake.
With the codename 'Hudson Valley Next' (according to leakers) Windows 12 is predicted to focus heavly on artificial intelligence, especially on Window's Copilot AI. This AI is expected to come with smart automation and may be able to do the following:
However, the usage of AI may stress the hardware, making the version unavailable on older software.
Secondly, there has been a lot of talks about a 'modular Core PC architechture'. What this means is the OS will be fragmented into smaller, updateable components and a smaller, trustable core, read‑only system partitions, and composable editions for each version of device.
Thirdly leakers assume Microsoft wish to create a completely new user interface for the system. Leaks speak of a floating taskbar, glass like UI and a touch screen experience. However, An overhaul of the user interface was expected if a new Windows version was released in the modern day.
Finally, Windows - quite controversially - have been rumoured to include a 'premium' subscription for use of a better AI model. However, we a unsure whether this is true or not.
So, what are we expecting from this new model, and what are the chances of us getting one? With most of these leaks origionating from the tech industry's insider reports, we have a reason to believe in the existence. Whether this will be an overhaul of everything in Windows 11 and an introduction to a new AI lead system is yet to be known.
In conclusion, we have had leaks, predictions and suggestions on the new model, but many questions still remain.
Queen Mary's Grammar School has made the following accommodations for the June 2026 Heatwave occuring now:

Fourth Official: Ning Ma (China)
Video Assistant Referee (VAR): Guillermo Pacheco (Mexico)
TV Channel: BBC1 UHD (Coverage starts at 8:00 PM BST for an hour of pre-match build-up).

England XI (4-2-3-1):
Pickford; J. James, Konsa, Guéhi, Spence; Rice, E. Anderson; Madueke, Bellingham, Gordon; Kane.
Ghana XI (5-4-1):
Asare; Senaya, Adjetey, Opoku, Mensah, Yirenkyi; Semenyo, Sibo, Partey, J. Ayew; I. Williams.
Tuchel's Momentum: This is Thomas Tuchel’s second competitive match in charge of the Three Lions. England enters this game flying high after a fluid and aggressive 4-2 victory over Croatia in their opening group fixture.
The Opposition: Carlos Queiroz’s Ghana side is looking to secure a spot in the knockout stages for the first time in 16 years. They head into this game full of confidence after grinding out a resilient 1-0 win against Panama, thanks to a dramatic 95th-minute winner from Caleb Yirenkyi.
History in the Making: If Harry Kane scores tonight, he looks to build heavily on the brace he secured against Croatia. Meanwhile, Ghana's veteran leadership, marshaled by Thomas Partey in midfield, will look to clog the central channels and neutralize England's creative outlets.
Head-to-Head & Odds: These two nations have never met in a competitive World Cup fixture before, with their only prior senior meeting being a 1-1 friendly draw at Wembley back in 2011. England enters as heavy favorites with a whopping 78.8% win probability according to Opta, while Ghana sits as the heavy underdogs.
Fans Support: The Boston Stadium is packed to the rafters. Live reports from the ground capture a massive turnout, with roughly 45-50% England fans turning the stadium into a sea of white, alongside a vibrant and noisy contingent making up about 20-25% of the stadium supporting Ghana.
Now, sit back and enjoy the game.

Tenberal correspondent Simon Wong reports, assistive technologies may be used in this article:
When Red Extreme Heat Warning hits, it is extremely important in managing hydration and outdoor exposure is the critical first step to staying safe. It is highly recommended to keep a water bottle with you and sip from it constantly throughout the day; waiting until you feel parched means your body is already running low on fluids. For maximum protection, it is best to avoid sugary sodas, energy drinks, and excessive caffeine, as these can actually accelerate dehydration. Public health teams advise staying indoors during the peak intensity hours of the sun, typically between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM. If you do need to head out, definitely grab a hat, wear sunglasses, stick to the shade, and lather on a high-factor sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) to avoid dangerous sunburns. We also recommend to wear light and less brighter clothes, if the temperature hits its peak, you may want to wear some damp clothes. It is also best to postpone any heavy workouts or physical tasks until the cooler early morning or late evening hours.
Controlling your indoor living environment can also make a massive difference in staying comfortable. A great pro-tip is to keep windows, blinds, and curtains completely closed during the day, especially in rooms that face direct sunlight. While it might feel a bit backwards, locking the hot air out traps the cooler air inside. You should only crack the windows wide open in the evening or overnight once the outside temperature finally drops below the indoor temperature. While you're at it, try to unplug or turn off non-essential electronics like gaming consoles, laptops, and extra TVs when they aren't in use, as they act like mini-heaters and can warm up a sealed room. Also, as the temperature reaches higher, be aware of when the fan is releasing cooler air or just circulating hot air, if that is the case, turn if off for abit, and go for a cool shower or have a cold drink. You may also head to Libary of Birmingham and one of Birmingham City Council centres or leisure centres for a chill-out. Lastly, don't forget to look out for the community—give family members, friends, or neighbors a quick shout or text to ensure they are staying cool and coping well.
Finally, keeping an eye on water safety and recognising heat-related illnesses can genuinely save lives. While jumping into a local river, lake, or reservoir sounds like the perfect way to cool off, open water in the UK stays dangerously cold under the surface. This can trigger cold-water shock, causing immediate muscle cramps and breathing difficulties even for strong swimmers, so it is best to stick strictly to supervised pools. It is also important to keep an eye out for signs of heat exhaustion, such as dizziness, headaches, nausea, or heavy sweating. If someone shows these signs, move them to a cool space, give them water, and use cool, damp cloths on their skin. If they start acting confused, stop sweating despite being burning hot, or pass out, that is heatstroke—a major medical emergency—and you should call 999 immediately.
